Curry Powder… if you must!

This is sweet curry powder made by Penzey’s and it happens to be the one curry powder I occasionally use. It has a sweeter flavor, as the name implies, because of the cinnamon aspect. Some curry powders are bland, some are bitter, and some are just hot. To me, this one is just right. I prefer using my individual spices in an Indian dish, but this is a good curry powder to use, if you must!
I keep a jar of this curry powder as well as jars of many herbs and spices in a cupboard close to my stove, but I also keep sealable bags of herbs and spices in my freezer to have on hand when I run out. I really go through a lot of cumin, coriander, garlic pepper, thyme, and basil. In the freezer they keep quite fresh, but I would never keep them longer than two years.
